Despite the weather not being on our side, the team have received a warm welcome today in chilly Solihull.

The people of this country have seen right through David Cameron's EU speech and referendum pledge.

No ifs or buts. No vote grabbing. We Demand a Referendum - this is an issue beyond party politics.

This clip was taken from German TV station "Arte.tv". I was featured on last nights programmed, "Europa  nein danke" which was a programme about Euroscepticism. Although it is fully dubbed in German, you get a flavour of how well We Demand a Referendum is being received across Europe.

Money Matters in Chelmsley Wood

 We've had a fantastic morning down at Asda in Chelmsley Wood promoting the new booklet, Money Matters - and so does debt! 

Plenty of people were keen to talk about the booklet itself, plus talk about a wider range of issues about Europe, or other ways that they might need assistance from myself.

Mandy Wilson will be in Asda today from 10am until 4pm, and will be in Asda in Chelmsley Wood on the following dates this month:

MEP’s MOBILE SURGERY TO VISIT KENILWORTH

 

We Demand a Referendum MEP Nikki Sinclaire will send her mobile surgery to Kenilworth this Friday (16^th November 2012).

 The mobile surgery will be positioned in the town centre from 10am until 3pm, and will be on hand to offer advice to constituents on a range of matters.

 Ms Sinclaire’s team will also be collecting pledges of support for the NEW We Demand a Referendum party, which will contest the European Election of 2014. The single issue party has one aim; to force an In Out referendum on the UK’s future relationship with the European Union. Ms Sinclaire is asking people to pledge their vote for one election only, in order to send the government a strong message on this crucial issue.

Nikki Sinclaire is still the only UK MEP to have a mobile surgery.

Nikki said, “With a constituency as vast as ours, where 5 million people reside, it is essential that I and my team are able to get to the various towns and cities in the West Midlands and meet my constituents face to face”.

PRESS RELEASE: PRIME MINISTER IS IGNORING THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE

 

A new pro-referendum party has dismissed the call for a referendum on renegotiation on European Union membership.

 

The We Demand a Referendum party says that the Prime Minister is simply ignoring the will of the people. In a YouGov poll conducted earlier this month, 61% said that they now wanted a referendum on whether the UK remained members of the European Union. 73% of Conservative voters now want an In Out referendum.

 

The same YouGov poll also revealed that 55% of people do not trust David Cameron to stand up for Britain’s interests in Europe.

 

David Cameron is expected to announce that the next Conservative manifesto will include a referendum. However, the referendum will be based upon terms for renegotiation with the European Union, and will not include an option to leader.

 

Nikki Sinclaire, who is a We Demand a Referendum MEP, is not surprised by todays developments,

 

“Over the past year, I have delivered almost a quarter of a million signatures to 10 Downing Street calling for an In or Out referendum on our future with the European Union.

 

As an MEP, I am witness to how the UK’s current relationship with the European Union simply doesn’t work. Renegotiation is not an option.

 

We need a clear mandate in Europe. We are either in, and fully engage in the European Union so it can work for us, or we are out and we govern our own future.

 

Just yesterday I received a letter from the Minister for Europe, who stated that the Government believes that membership of the EU is in the national interest of the UK.

 

Mr Cameron is not prepared to listen to the people, the many thousands who have collected signatures because they want this in/out referendum. The Prime Minister must remember that it is the people who put his party into power.

 

At the 2014 European Elections, the We Demand a Referendum party will stand in every constituency in the UK with the simply message on the ballot paper ‘We Demand a Referendum – let the people decide’

 

We British people are tolerant and patient, but when we are pushed, we fight back. We will now fight back. Give us our In Out referendum or we’ll simply demand it”.

YouGov Poll: Majority of Public Distrust Cameron on EU

YouGov Poll: Majority of Public Distrust Cameron on EU.

 

A YouGov Poll released today by the newly formed We Demand A Referendum Party shows the majority of electorate DO NOT have trust in David Cameron to stand up for British interests in the European Union.

The poll reveals that 54% do not have trust compared to 38% that do.

The same YouGov poll also reveals that the gap between those who wish to see an EU Referendum (62%) widening over those who do not (24%). In a YouGov Poll last month the figures for the same question were 56% to 28% respectively.

Worryingly for David Cameron the poll shows that almost three out of four Conservative voters want a Referendum.

The single issue We Demand A Referendum Party held their inaugural conference in London on Friday issued an ultimatum to the Prime Minister that if he failed to facilitate a In/Out Referendum by 1^st January 2014 they would stand in every region in the next European Elections under the banner ‘We Demand A Referendum’ A YouGov Poll last month showed between 16% and 33% of the electorate would vote for them in June 2014 earning them between 8 and 22 seats.

Party Chairman, Nikki Sinclaire MEP said “These results show there is increasing support from across the political spectrum for an EU Referendum – When will the politicians listen to the people?”

The West Midlands MEP added “The economic crisis has changed the ball game in Europe. Fundamental changes are underway, now is the time to decide once and for all which fork in the road to take.”
