Team in Hereford today

While I was on BBC Hereford and Worcester, we also had another team located in Hereford meeting constituents.

Just three days to go - bottom of the ballot paper this Thursday!

A fantastic campaign day in Herefordshire

A really fantastic response in Herefordshire today. The day started in Bromyard, and we visited Leominster, Ross On Wye, Hereford and Ledbury before travelling to Worcester and Kidderminster. What a day! Lovely to chat to so many people who had received my election address this week, lots of people telling me they are lending me their vote on May 22nd. Overwhelmed by the support.

Comment of the day today:

"You're the only MEP we've ever heard of and the only one we've ever seen speak to people on the street. You have my vote".

An afternoon at Hereford United Football Club

It was a fantastic afternoon at Hereford United football club. The scoreline was bitterly disappointing however.

The Hereford United fans were impeccable in their minutes silence for Hillsborough victims.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Hereford United legend Ronnie Radford - for the love of Ronnie Radford, we need to save this club!

Mobile surgery in Hereford today

My team and I have had a fantastic day in Hereford with the mobile surgery talking about my role as an MEP, and why I am demanding a referendum.

What came over strongly to me today was the desire for people to debate this topic. We all want to know the facts about EU membership so we can debate the issue, then take it to a decisive In or Out referendum.

The people of Hereford are tired of politicians using a referendum as a political point scorer - they want real action now!

Thank you to everybody who took the time to debate the subject or even just say hi.

An afternoon in Hereford

I had a really enjoyable afternoon in Hereford. Firstly, watching the match in which Hereford beat league leaders Chesterfield 3-0 and pulled further away from the relegation zone in League 2. The Football League deducted Hereford 3 points earlier this week so it was great to make those up immediately.

On the way home I stopped off for an hour in Hereford to hand out my reports. People were genuinely appreciative of the fact that one of their elected persons had taken the time to speak with them without seeking a vote!

A clear majority supported my work in trying to get the UK out of the EU.
