EU Budget Increase and UK Public Services Are Cut!

The EU Budget Document

The EU Parliament today congratulated itself after a marathon voting session that put through an increase in its budget at a time that we in the UK are bracing ourselves for major cuts in public services.
RAW FACTS
Local Government -27%
Defence -8%
Home Office -23%
EU +5.9%

This was the first budget vote since the Lisbon Treaty came into force; the power has obviously gone to their heads so its spend, spend, spend! Especially on champagne and subsidised canteens. The faster we get out of the Euro Disneyland the better!

On a side note the Lisbon Treaty was supposed to herald greater dialogue between national governments and the EU but they actually cut that budget by 25%!
