Visiting Derwen College

 It was an honour and a privilige to visit Derwen college in Oswestry. I was given a very thorough guided tour of the campus and its facilities. What I enjoyed was their emphasis on real work skills that would lead to a job and independence. The enthusiasm of the students was infectious - you could tell they were loving what they were being taught to do.

What annoys me is that local authorities sometimes do not see how great this college is and the parents of these students have to fight for them to attend. It is ludicrous. Their education is a right, not a fight.
