I was delighted to be asked to speak at the opening of the
Career Transition Partnership Midlands Employment Fair which was held in Telford this morning.
The purpose of the event is to introduce ex service
personnel or those about to leave the armed forces, to new potential employment
opportunities. The exhibitors held information on the roles employers had
available.
Further to this, a number of exhibitors were information
services that provide help in different areas of those involved with forces
life. For example, help for families to get the housing they need, or emotional
support for those who need it, whether they are currently in the forces or no longer
serving.
